In "Let Them Eat Fat" , Critser argues that fast food chains, such as McDonalds, serve food that is mostly made up of fat. Most people know how unhealthy fast food is but they keep eating it because of how cheap and easy it is to get. To eat in a restaurant, you would wait about thirty minutes for your food to be prepared. Critser implies that because  the food is cheap, people will never stop eating fast food.

The most  interesting idea in this article is that fast food chains, such as McDonalds, have grown more aggressive in their targeting of poor inner-city communities. McDonalds reastaurants are everywhere, especially in poorer neighborhoods. What keeps people coming back to McDonalds are the cheap prices and large quantities of food. Fast food is just that, fast. It is so much quicker to get your food at McDonalds than at a diner or a restaurant. Greg Critser's article is all about shedding light on how unhealthy fast food is for you.
McDonalds makes most of it's money from people who either can't afford to eat anywhere else, or people who don't like to wait long for their food. Fast food restaurants serve such large quantities of food for low price, that is what keeps people coming back. For example, would you rather pay ten dollars for a burger and french fries at a diner, or get a burger and fries at McDonalds for about two dollars and change?
The idea of having your food served to you about thirty seconds after you order it is what makes fast food so appealing. For example, last friday I took my mom out to lunch and then took her shopping. The restaurant we went to had us waiting for almost an hour for our food and her favorite store close because we were late. If we had went to a fast food restaurant, we would have gotten our food in a few minutes. This is why fast food is so popular, because of how fast it's served.
In sum, should try to avoid the temptation of fast food. Just because it is easier to eat fast food doesn't mean it is the best thing to do. We shouldn't ignore the fact that fast food is extremely unhealthy. Greg Critser took his time to write an article about the disadvantages of fatty food, th least we can do is try to limit our fast food intake.

  1. FROM WOROUD:

Hi my name is Woroud and I am a tutor that will help you with your paper. I like that this essay has a summary and the main idea of the passage is clearly stated. This is great. Your summary is in your own words and you pointed out ideas that you felt were important. I recommend that you keep this up because it seems that you are on the right track. There are however some spelling errors so you must reread it your work every time. Keep up the good work.
